| You know I wanna go. My question is whether it would be easier to go down on Monday and stay the night. But whatever you wanna do, I was already thinking about going so let's see if we can't make a group effort out of it. |

| if we get a room, we better get it NOW. i'll probably reserve something this weekend. we can always get a room in MD, and catch the metro into DC, but the metro will be PACKED. i may have the girls, but their dad wanted to take them and if we don't go as a family, i wouldn't mine them witnessing that with their father. _________________ alyson...

| i MAY drive down with my kids, ex, and his mom . i don't really want to go that route at all, but, the girls want me to be with them too so... i think i'm going to drive to maryland to the 1st metro stop and park and ride. the metro is gonna be PACKED, but i think 95 is gonna be worse. most of the trains are sold out, unless you're buying 1 ticket. (my 1 tix would have been $170 rt.) otherwise you have to ride 1st class. _________________ alyson...

| i was watching the news the other day and they are expecting at least 4 million people in DC. they then said that the city's transportation system would not be able to accomodate that type of crowd efficiently. that's all i needed to hear. there's no way i wanna be stuck on line for HOURS with my kids and 4 million others trying to get home. so i really have to think about this. i want to go, i want to bring the girls, but i just know what it was like in philly after the world series and that wasn't even a million people that had public transportation jammed up. plus, i can't listen to my kids whine b/c they're tired of standing in line. i'm going to research some local options just in case. _________________ alyson...

| My friend knows a guy that was planning a bus trip and she said that Homeland security confiscated the bus! So now the whole trip is cancelled. I thought that was strange but there's no way they can get it back! I guess they're trying to stop as many people from coming as they can to try to cut down on the population. |

| I probly ain't going even though I have somewhere to stay. All that traffic and people and jammed up public transportation... I been tossing it back and forth in my head for weeks now and I'm leaning towards staying in Philly and watching it on TV. |

| if i go, i'm hopping on amtrak. but i don't want to take this kids there with all of those ppl and restrictions. i'm thinking about either going to the african american museum in philly, or to the shomburg center in harlem instead. i still want to 'take' them somewhere and do something a little different that day. _________________ alyson...

| oh, and ALL of the bridges into DC will be closed to private vehicles. the only way in or out is amtrak or the metro. _________________ alyson...
