PostSubject: following the yellow brick road   Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:09 pm

today i resigned from my job to leap in the unknown. i don't have another job lined up, but i do have some 'if shit goes bad, i can_____' places to fall back on. i did it this way for a couple of reasons, but the main reason was to make sure i tried my VERY best to succeed. sink or swim baby.

i realized that even if we don't like the situation we're in, we stick with it because it's comfortable, it's predictable, and we don't have to put forth too much effort to maintain it. but while we're there, our dreams and goals get lost in our robotic every day routines. well, at least mine did.

so, the only option for me was to remove myself from an OK situation and create a better one for myself.

Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.

thank you tizzy for sending that quote to me that day. i was thinking about making moves for a long time, but that quote gave me the push that i needed. (you never know how one thought or small act can change a person's life.) I love you

so, now i'm plotting and planning. i'm trying to organize my home and space so the energy can move positively throughout it. especially since i'll be home a lot more. i'm in a good place. i'm happy. and i'm at peace.

(and contrary to popular belief - no, i am not crazy.) lol.

This is what I go up against every weekday.

You know, when I sent that quote out, I sent it out randomly to about 8 random people that I thought could use it...and you and Just Greg responded in detail. Good timing.

today was my last day. i was dancing through the building (ballet leaps and all!)

but i was REALLY sad after happy hour (to celebrate my departure.) i worked with and met an AMAZING bunch of people/cast of characters that i would not have had the opportunity to meet anywhere else.

i am blessed.
