| This is one of the most stressful things I have ever done. Searching for the right ring, even with assistance from her girlfriend, has been difficult. It’s not about the price or the design as much as having that feeling that this is the ring that will be the right one for her. It takes lots patience and focus and the strength of mind to walk away from the many salespeople at jewelry stores. I’d also like to mention that shopping for a ring hasn’t been pleasant either but I refuse to take my friend’s advice and just a get a cheap ring from a discount store to save time like he did. I don’t like shopping (except for electronics) and I’m not too fond of malls and jewelry stores but I’ve been fighting myself knowing that it’s more about seeing her expression when I pop the question…and I’m a little nervous about that, too. It’s not easy being a man. _________________ THIMK and grow rich...in consciousness!

| whatever you do, she'll be more concerned about her future than the jewelry on her hand, believe me. and congratulations to you. |

| some people care about those things...but you'll be surprised at the amount that don't care about the karat, the gold and so on about the ring. The whole point is that you proposed. Besides there is no ring that can say it ALL for you. There is no one ring that can express how much she means to you. So take your time, get something that doesn't break your pockets too much and go for it. PS - Congratulations! I'm very happy for you. Did you check her credit, lol |

| it doesn't have to be a traditional ring...find out what her favorite stone is, or choose a stone that's in her favorite color. i would go with something more thoughtful, something that when she looks at her finger she will remember not only the moment you proposed, but also a deeper history that ya'll share. _________________ alyson...

| I finally bought the ring on Saturday and my pockets are feeling very light now. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to surprise her and pop the question. Any ideas? _________________ THIMK and grow rich...in consciousness!

| get some flowers (in candlebras if possible)....surround the bed with them (while she is asleep). And maybe set the alarm for some weird hour...when she wakes up...be at the foot of the bed, on bended knee. *if not flowers...maybe candles? |

This is one of those cases where it depends on her. With some women, if you woke them up from a good sleep, they'd say no on GP. |

| you know i always wanted to do stuff like this. be like the guy hitch and give guys ideas for proposals. you should have a big gathering....a game night a dinner gathering, something like that. (i guess this would only work if you have gatherings like that, cuz otherwise it could be a tad bit suspect) Invite her close friends and family, as well as yours. Then pick like 3 or 4 people and give them empty ring boxes. Have them sporadically get down on one knee and propose to her and open the empty boxes. you be the last person and obviously your box will have the ring in it. woo-hoo everyone will be happy all of your close friends and family will be there...it'll be great. just an idea maybe you should give us some background cuz like Astr8 said different types of people like diferent things |

| or be old school, a walk in the park (supposed to be nice all next week)...pay some bicyclers (or get some people you know) to ride by with the words Will you marry me? And then pop out the ring... A_Str8 - don't be laughing at my ideas . Its good to be creative and different and romantic. (((Although, after I thought about the first one, that could be a little creepy to wake up to if you don't have the swagger for it.))) In the end, you should stick with something that fits your comfort level and personality. Be at least 90% sure that she would say yes before you go all out with "the way" you propose. that's my opinion |
