After a close financial call yesterday, I'm putting my foot down and have decided to order my credit report and get to cleaning. I figure it might take me about 2 to 3 months to get it right.

I'm changing my mindset about money, and I'm confronting my whole strategy, planning, budgeting and am going to get more educated about it.

The reality is that I do bring in a decent amount and really have no excuse for some of the situations I'm in. I think I take it for granted that I'm single and childless at the moment and just got a little nonchalant with it. That's ending today.

Its like going cold turkey. I have to catch some things up and its really going to have an immediate impact on things. The website will not be affected, but I definitely will not put out WB in February.

I'm going to get some ads to pay for it completely and then put it out (March or April).

I'm looking forward to this change....I guess its all about growing up.

I know there are 3 credit report companies...that are the most official.

Equifax is one of them. Are there any that people recommend out of the three?

If you go to "annualcreditreport.com" you can get all three for free, once a year.
Some people get all three at once 'cause they can review them all and see if there are any things that need to be corrected.
Others get a different one every four months so they can monitor their credit activity for problems throughout the year instead of just looking at all three at once at one time in the year.

I don't think any one of them (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) is any better than the others, so I don't think it matters which one you check first, as long as you check 'em all. They don't all report everything the same, and you don't want to see no problems on one report, then turn around and find out there was a problem lurking on the one report you didn't check.
