How long does a person collect unemployment?

Less than a year?

i think it may vary from state to state. the first and only time, i collected was for a maximum of 6 months. and it is usually a precentage of what your salary was when you were laid off or fired or whatever. in my case, i was getting much more money with unemployment than i would've been had i started a new job.

I think it's 6 months in PA.
