how's it going? did you start with the book yet?

I think some of us do it subconcsiously (arrange things in a FS kind of way).

I know i used to be into shades of brown and black as far as standard furniture. But when i moved a year ago, I knew I wanted color all over the place. Right now I have red, orange, green, blue...Next I need to get some purple in the apartment.

It feels different too with the colors. Soon I will be adding more plants. I have 2 right now, but I want to be flooded with them.

My goal is to create a spa like feel at home

I could use more circular shapes in my space...everything is square. I'm not sure what the science is on the circle shapes...but I know that circles are everywhere in nature, the world. And I just wanted to try something different than my norm.

i have the book, but i haven't started reading it. me being me, i'm just going to start changing the colors to affect what i feel on the inside. in my bedroom i have a lot of cool colors and neutrals. i'm heading out tonight to get a bright bedspread and pillows for the winter. (the summer stuff is on sale ). i'm also thinking of getting a fountain for my bedroom. i just need to hit up ikea real quick to get a stand for it.

i took down the artwork in the girls room (things they painted when they were little.) 2 paintings are in the bathroom (where i'm also adding more color), the rest are in storage. i'm going to get the girls posters that reflect their current interests and add more color to their space. i rearranged their furniture and removed a lot of their clutter. i am HOPING to have their room completely finished tomorrow, but i don't think it will happen.

i have plants downstairs and i'm getting more fresh flowers every now and then. the only thing i want to add in the living room is a big mirror and drapes for the doors. after i do that, i'll rearrange the furniture.

i also removed everything (well, mostly everything) that was broken from the house. i know the trashmen were pissed at me yesterday.

i need to look into circles too. i want a BIG circlular mirror for above the fireplace, but i do want to see how that will affect the rest of the space (rectangular and square coffee/end tables.)

i just want to hurry everything along because it's really hard for me to focus in this space with it the way it is. i want everything to be FINISHED by next week.

just clarifying drapes for the doors or did you mean windows?

Last week I ran into a man on Walnut street that I knew who said, "I don't walk on Chestnut Street that often. The feng shui is different than the feng shui on Walnut"

Maybe I need to do something to my work environment to perk me up a little more.
