D'Angelo: Voodoo - Left & Right

"And if you dream to be free, I can take you there just follow me...Baby I won't, I won't steer you wrong."

Something about this line...I love it.

How about this young girl from Chicago said this in a romantic / self-help poem:

"I'm using you as bait to find me"

She was between the age of 13 to 19, performed at youth poetry finals. So next level.

That's some hot sh*t. Wish I could have been there. I am ALWAYS SO IMPRESSED by the youth poets. Raw and utter talent. They are a beautiful sight to behold.

tell me about it. My mind was so blown away...I think that was the hottest line of the night for me. I almost shed a tear it was so hot Sad - AND it came from a youngin...??!! That line stayed with me. I need to have that on a t-shirt.

Here's what I'm on today:
Kanye's "Good Morning":

They tell you read this, eat this, preach us, Jesus, okay look up now, they done stole your streetness...after all of that, you receive this: Good Morning.

QUESTION - do you think Kanye is referring to the academic world, when he says "THEY" done stole your streetness...after all of that you receive this?

Traycee, we spazzed when she said that line. I loved Alicia's (I think that's how you spell her name) line too.

"You said you had a passion for soul food, so I cried in the mashed potatoes"

Shocked
