Pres. Karzai of Afghan says he didn't read the law clearly...but he already signed the 239 page document that includes passages requiring wives to sexually satisfy their husbands.

Women's groups are saying this could be used to justify marital rape.

International leaders, including Pres.Obama, are organizing and speaking on it...but I'm not sure if it will un-do anything.

they were protesting this for a couple of weeks. students from the school (where the law writer teaches) came out and threw rocks at the women protesters.

marital rape is a common occurance all over the world, no matter the culture. it's just rarely reported because many husbands feel as though it's their 'right' and many wives just deal with it.

Seems like, when you look around the world...the way women are treated in other places...I think we have it pretty good here.


Over here we can say what we need to say to a man...and win a grammy for it too!
