As I was driving past North by Northwest on Germantown Ave. yesterday, I saw something that made me do a double take…and I was mad as hell, too. I saw a young white woman walking with a Black woman. The Black woman was carrying a baby in a sling close to her breasts and smiling meekly as the white woman made goo goo eyes and played with the hands of the little baby while holding AN ICED COFFEE!! I wanted to jump out of my car, throw that coffee in her face and tell her to carry her own darn child. But then it struck me that the Black woman may have been an immigrant and really in need of that job. It just hurt me so much to see that image. Why, why why??? Ughhhh!!!

no offense vincent, but you haven't really given enough details to justify drawing the conclusion that you did... was the baby white? black? were the women friends of each other or employer/employee? how can a passerby really know? and what's wrong with iced coffee? if the black lady was a babysitter, how do you know the white lady was the mother? she coulda been a stranger admiring the baby...

yeah the baby was white and you just had to see the entire image to get the picture. the Black woman was clearly an employee.
