I came to work and heard about this married brother who was a Social Work Supervisor or something similar and had a few situations going on at work. Long story short, he killed his girlfriend of 7 years ...while her 11 year old watched.

The girlfriend was a 34 year old Clerk at DHS. His wife (who had no clue of the various affairs with this and other women that also included child births) is a Performance Director (or some executive position) at DHS and he had children and affairs with about 2 or 3 other social workers.

I'm told that they relocated the social workers from working on the same floor as the wife.

They also said that he was dating the clerk first, married the director while he and the clerk were still dating.

The 34 year old wanted to end it and you know that goes.

there's A LOT of murder-suicides in the news right now. a lot are due to domestic violence, others because of financial stress.

in sunday's philly inq, there was a story about a norristown woman who took out a restraining order on her boyfriend and was trying to take one out on his parents because they were all physically threatening her, and threatening to take her daughter (that she had with her boyfriend.) people said it was an abusive relationship and her 4 year old witnessed the abuse. in the end, she killed her daughter and herself by overdosing on xanax. they found mom and daughter laying together holding hands. i can't imagine what she was going through where that seemed like the best answer. when i can, i'm going to weave that story into a poem.
