i am a firm believer in the separation of church and state. anyone who is not should try living in iran for a spell.
that being said, i DON'T believe in it being taken a literally as folks are taking it now. children should be allowed to pray in school, the bible can be used in the courtroom, and a US flag can be flown in front of a church. that is where freedom of speech comes in.
a church is a place were people congregate. if they have all sorts of sales, dinners, programs, discussions, meetings, etc., they should also be able to televise the inauguration (espeically a historic one) for the members that are interested. if the person that complained did not like it, it was their choice not to go. just as i'm sure they choose not to eat sister shirley's greens because she uses pork instead of smoked turkey.
