Also...I'm currently reading this book called
"Emperor of Ocean Park" by Stephen L. Carter. Some young bull (from Moorehouse) put me on to this about 2 years ago...I'm just now picking this up. Its like a black version of John Grisham law novels.
The opening describes a chess scenario called "Nowotony Interference" where two black pieces jeopardize the protection of vital squares...
From the first few chapters...it seems the book gets into elitism, and probably a little bit of secret society stuff too.
I love the way its written. It has a sarcastic narrative feel.
Over the weekend, I skimmed through Al Gore's
"An Inconvenient Truth"...he put this out in 2006, and its his book warning about global warming. The introduction talks about how the same people that warned folks about Katrina are the same people warning about global warming.
Hey...ya'll want to start a new thread about readings from the bible?
