| There's nothing wrong with that. I'm just waiting for the paper back. I'm all about Sci-Fi/Fantasy. The last book I read was called Exiles by Melanie Rawn. I'm currently reading the second book in the series. It's a trilogy I think. The last book I read that I'd consider significant was Christ Our Lord, and I already posted my thoughts on it. |

Someone recommended her to me many years ago, but I only started reading her just before she died. I really miss her writing. It was bad timing for me to discover a new favorite author |

| today i am reading/have read: inheritance of loss by kiran desai sightseeing by rattawut laproenshop Tokion magazine National Geographic Traveler magazine and i just read this really amazing article in the NY Times on couch surfing. (where you travel all over the world and sleep on the couches of others. they, of course, return the favor and show you their city. some people do it for years. it's like hitchiking, but with couches. and an article on the recent flooding in west africa and a really good article on a woman who started schools in tanzania to help local children learn computers and trades. and I'm keeping up with the book reviews on Edwidge Danticat's new book. _________________ Sawubona.

This sounds like a stress free life. Couch surfing. Its so funny how there are terms for everything...that's like a homeless person...Bench surfing almost lol - I'd like to couch surf in California!
Edwidge...I have always wanted to get into her books. |

| PS- I never did buy that biography on Miles this weekend. I don't know if I want my next book to be fiction or non-fiction. Can anybody recomend something? I need a pageturner... How would you describe Edwidge Danticat's work? I saw a live interview of her on WHYY and it was pretty good. |
