| How about a thread for pictures? I've seen some interesting shots by April, and I'm sure the rest of you have some. I'll start it off. This is a picture of the water running in my shower. I used a high shutter speed and flash, to freeze the motion, so you can see each drop of water. Check out the full size version to really see it. |

The picture is on Flickr. Are you at work? Do they block Flickr at your job? |

| I was looking at the palm tree thinking it was a pile of rocks before I read the caption. I love how close-ups can transform objects. The sub entrance looks like it would be in great black and white without the posterization |

| I wish a camera was in my possesion when I was Downtown in Detroit this past winter. As me and a friend were walking past a resturant that was recently closed down, she said "look." I promise- A sign said "Fresh Squeezed Kool-Aid" What fruit does that come from????????? |

| I've been teaching myself about photography for several years - reading, experimenting, etc. I've never taken classes or anything and there are deinitely gaps in my knowledge. I'd be glad to share what I do know and what I think of your pics. I know nothing about putting portfolios together. What kind of camera are you using? What kind of photography experience do you have so far? What about experience with art in general? |

What kind of camera are you using? [/Well...don't laugh, but i use a digital camera. a Nikon, 5 megapixels.
What kind of photography experience do you have so far? i have no experience at all with photography. i just know i like taking pics and i think i have a good eye. i get alot of compliments on my work as well so i fgured i try to do it professionally. I've bought a book on digital photography recently and am learning a little as i go. but i do not know anything about exposures and shutter speeds yet. i haven't gotten to those chapters yet.
What about experience with art in general? |
i have no formal experience in anything art except for theatre. i did take some animation classes at Uarts when i was in high school cuz i was really into cartoon art. i used to draw, but like i said i wasn't trained. it was just a gift i suppose. |
