I saw it today. I'm not upset with it like I assumed I would be. I think it was a great first effort on a taboo subject...The two things the movie drives home for me are:

1. Putting toxic chemicals in children's hair

	(there were stories about 3 year olds getting perms)

2. The business disparitie$ -

Spoiler:
	as far as the asians not doing wholesale with blacks, but only retail. Its like a whole industry that seeks to keep black folks out of the bigger dollars)

3. Ice-T made some really good points

	(and I'm glad he had the last word) - About nothing being wrong with women doing what they want to enhance what they already have...because "she needs to be happy cause if she ain't, she will be giving somebody hell"

4. Interesting scenario between the students

Spoiler:
	when they were talking about how they would not take a person with an afro seriously in the workplace...even if they had on a suit. The sadness in that student's face (who had an afro) was tearjerking. I thought she was going to defend her hair, but she just looked like she was going to cry.

5. Also the issue about how the indians are shaving their hair

Spoiler:
	as a religious hoax that tells people to give their hair to God - and that hair is being shipped right into the hair industry. Wow.
