Scenario. I'm sitting alone in my work space. Changing my shoes. A co-worker walks by. She says "what's wrong - you aren't smiling". I'm thinking to myself, "now would it really be normal for me to be sitting by myself in this cubicle, changing my shoes with a smile on my face"....who does she think i am? Mr. Rogers?

but I didn't say that. I just said, "nothing. I'm fine" and flashed a quick smile.

i never understood why people always thought you need to have a smile plastered on your face in order to be content, at peace, or happy.

i understand the above. give the other person credit, they're not trying
to be stupid or irritating [probably]. with some folks it's a habitual response.
with others it may be a cue to some situational insecurity. it does get old,
though. a fried of mine put it well ... "i don't walk around with a coat hanger
in my mouth".
best.

i hate that too. the last thing i left was my lunch on the counter (tomato, mozzarell, and basil salad.) i was soooo upset because i had it prepared in nice bite size pieces with toothpicks holding it together. by the time i realized it, it was too late to turn around and it went to waste.

LOL - what animal punked you? I hope it was something that is understandable like a dog...and not a turtle or a fish.

My cat punks people. My cat is a watchcat. I think every male that has been around my cat has had a bit of a run in. He loves the ladies though...rubs all up on them, but men? He checks them at the door...follows them around. Waits for them outside of the bathroom, and will come and sit right in front of them and just stare like, "so um, yeah we go to bed around here at 10pm, did you park far?"

When there is more than one elevator and you are almost late, but if this person didn't just stick their umbrella in between the elevator doors? you would have just made it. So now you're on the elevator and this happens about 2 more times.

Its like the elevator won't be able to close -or everyone has forgotten that there are other elevators. What is the weight capacity on this thing anyway? Do we really need to be crammed in the elevator with each other's umbrella's dripping on us?

I'm just saying Smile

Speaking of elevators - people who just rush on as soon as the doors open, even if people are trying to get out.

When people want to ask for a favor, but they start by asking leading questions. "Are you doing anything?" Just tell me what you want, and I'll tell you if I can do it.

Well cats I understand...because I think if I was a visitor and saw my cat...he would punk me - quick. He's very confident and everyone says, he acts like a person.

He's an oriental tabby / egyptian mau.

(((googling the savannahs to see what they look like )))
