You heard the story of the 11 year old girl raped so severely she needed surgery? It happened a few days ago, but I didn't see a post for it, so I'm starting one.

The suspect (also being referred to as "person of interest") is 26 year old Jose Carrasquillo. The neighbors spotted him walking down the street and whipped his behind.

Some reports were saying that he said "I didn't do it. I have a daughter".

Interesting that he had a rape charge a few years ago, but it was thrown out.

He is / was in critical condition and needed a breathign machine by the time they got done with him.

Justice. But the little girl's sufferings...

there are 3 ways i feel about this:

1) street justice is a beautiful thing
2) but what if DNA proves that he didn't do it?
3) and if he didn't do it, it's karma for the charge that he beat.

a lot of folks are catching flack for saying this, but people ARE supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. plain and simple.

and i know your next thought, but if it were my daughter, i'd have someone catch the guilty person's ass in jail on SO many different levels. at least, i would then know that it WAS the correct person that was getting his ass whipped constantly.

also, i know emotions were running high, but i think it's funny how no charges aren't being pressed against the attackers. it's like the cops were glad they whipped his ass for them.

Yeah... It's dangerous when we start to disregard due process.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, it's a great message to go out to other potential rapists, but on the other hand , it could be the wrong guy and vigilante justice can be a very dangerous thing.

i was just watching the channel 10 11pm news, and they interviewed a man who was attacked by citizens & arrested prior to the real suspect's attack (that's all over the news.) he said the police realized it wasn't him and let him go, without an apology. and again, i bet no charges will be filed against his attackers.

it's just not right.

I'm just keepin it real. If it were my daughter I'd beat a damn tree stump if it fit the description. Would I feel bad........HELL NAW!!! Is that fare? Hell naw. But emotions are running high. Anytime harm happens to anyone's child they're looking for someone to blame. That's the ish that makes you see as a parent you can't protect your child from everything. However, if you can find somebody's ass to kick, other than yours of course, for some harm that happens to your child? Oh helllllllllllssssss yes. Hindsight is 20/20. You sure as hell ain't gonna be thinkin' 'Oh he might not have done it.' Shiddddddddddd. Also, in alot of cases, does anyone but me find it uncanny that the streets tend to know a lot more about who does shit anydamnways. The way things are going between Illadelph citizens and police at this point? I'm sure folks, especially these parents, don't trust the police to handle it properly anydamnway. Does that make it right? Hell naw. But it makes a helluva lot of people feel better for a few minutes.
