I think he's taken this opportunity to preach when it's inappropriate. The way I see it if he REALLY cared about pushing this agenda, why not wait till your boy Obama is president and then be counsel to the president. Now, not only has Rev. Wright shot holes through Obama's credibility by saying he was politically posturing, but he's lost his shot of being religious counsel to POUS.. if Obama becomes, now it's gotten to the point that Barack can't even be caught on the same street as Rev. Wright.

This debacle goes to show that Rev. Wright has a personal vendetta against the US, and is willing to sacrifice someone that considers him a mentor. His presence on the presidential scene is obscene and selfish.

Does he realize that by hurting Barack's chances, he is helping the sides that are for the things that he says he dislikes about this country?

Don't believe the hype.
Some beef is created, and agitated.

I saw a really interesting documentary on Jeremiah Wright - on PBS last week. They showed the full version of his "hate" speech and where he was quoting a white reporter who said the chickens were coming home to roost. On the show, he didn't have anything negative to say about Obama. It was all mature, respectful and supportive.

*this is why I like PBS, and WHYY - objective views, you know?

I think the media will have a good ol' time pitting these two against each other. Each week, its a new soap opera.

Media wags the dog. Don't be fooled.

WHYY and PBS have their agendas too. Many people feel the way Pastor Wright does. And that is a poor reflection on America. It's a subject which should be understood and rectified rather than contorted into the terms "unpatriotic" and "treason". His message unfortunately is being taken out of context. This means be quiet. Because most people believe the hype and are slaves to the media. As a conspiracy theorist he should know this and be on top of his game.

Have you heard Wright's latest comments? No doubt there was hype before, but in the past few days it seems like Rev Wright has made it his personal mission to sobotage Obama's campaign.

See that's exactly what I'm saying. Rev. Wright's statement bear A LOT of truth. It's difficult to dispute that fact.

I know he's excited about getting this opportunity to get his "15 minutes", but seriously if he could wait on the current ranting like I said before he would be a prime position to change our flaws.

Obama has to denounce him at every turn, and I know it must be difficult, but it must be done.

SHARPTON RAPS OBAMA

http://www.nypost.com/seven/04292008/news/regionalnews/sharpton_raps_obama_108577.htm

I'm putting this here.. because it's all along the same thread... United we stand divided we fall. Poor Obama.. He's damned if he does, damned if he don't. The following is about Obama's statements regarding the Sean Bell verdict. Pardon the source it's very biased.. But sift through it for the facts and use google (another media trap).

"During what a source described as a "heated" phone call yesterday, Sharpton told Obama he was disappointed with the Illinois senator's words on Friday, when Obama said "resorting to violence to express displeasure" was "completely unacceptable and counterproductive."

"[Obama] issues this statement and not a single rock had been thrown," said a source. "How does the candidate of change ask people to accept a verdict that is unjust?"

The source said Sharpton had hoped Obama would "side with the Bell family" and not use it as an "opportunity to grandstand in front of white people." "

There are a lot of Reverend Wright clips out there. i'm havinga hard time finding the quotes I saw on the news. I beleive the comments were all taken from his National Press Club appearance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lV8x_-Uk2c

It's long (broken up into five parts)
